Grade 9 Farewell

We look forward to celebrating our Grade 9 students at the Farewell on Friday, June 6!

Ceremony

The Farewell Ceremony will take place at Sherwood Park Alliance Church (1011 Clover Bar Road), beginning at 5:00 p.m. Doors to the sanctuary will open at 4:30 p.m., with opportunities for families to take photographs both before and after the ceremony.

The ceremony will include short speeches from students, staff, and invited guests. Each student will be presented with a completion certificate, and there will be a slideshow of the year, along with musical performances by students.

A short rehearsal will be held at the school on the morning of June 6.

Dress Code

While there is no specific dress code, students are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire suitable for a junior high event. We kindly ask that families avoid purchasing expensive clothing or accessories for the occasion.

Following the Ceremony

A Farewell Celebration will be held at the school from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Students will enjoy:

• A professional DJ and dance
• A photo booth
• Pizza, pop, and water

Only current Grade 9 Sherwood Heights students are welcome to join in the celebration.

Please note:

• Entry to the event will close at 7:30 p.m.
• There will be no in-and-out privileges
• This is a school-sanctioned event, so all regular school rules will apply

Cost and Invitations

By hosting the ceremony at a larger venue, students won't be limited in the number of guests they can invite. No tickets will be required for entry to either the ceremony or the celebration.
