Bringing the Fur Trade to Life

To support the understanding of the importance of the fur trade our Grade 7 students built replicas of various forts that existed in Canada between 1600s - 1870. 

Students first researched their fort to explain the role that competition played in the fort’s history and then they either made a 3-D fort or a digital fort. This helped the students gain a better understanding of the typical interactions that occurred in the trade during this period.
